YOUNG WOMAN EXAMPLE OF SERVICE

This post is also available in: Spanish Norwegian Bokmål French Chinese (Simplified) Japanese

Estefani Noemi Vanegas, “Mimi,” is a young volunteer rescuer with Comandos de Salvamento who chose volunteer service to save lives in her country, a place where a silent war is waged between gangs and police, without the government managing to have a short-term plan to stop the bloodshed.

In a country that over the last three years has been declared the most dangerous in the world, a group of young people known as Los Comandos work to serve people caught in the spiral of violence affecting the Country.
Mimi is one of them. At just 19 years old, she is a Medical Emergency Technician, Vehicle Rescue Technician, and Vertical Rescue Technician, and has nine years of experience facing the deaths and injuries of Salvadorans who suffer in their efforts to save lives.

Mimi is an example for young Salvadorans dedicated to volunteer service.
