Rescuers freed the driver and admitted him in serious condition to San Rafael Hospital in Santa Tecla.

Once again, excessive speed is one of the causes of traffic accidents. Early this morning, the driver of a vehicle crashed into a trailer that had mechanical problems at the beginning of Óscar Arnulfo Romero Boulevard, in Antiguo Cuscatlán.

The victim was left unconscious and trapped inside the car, so Comandos de Salvamento, together with other institutions, began the liberation effort with the help of hydraulic equipment. Minutes later, the man, approximately 35 to 40 years old, was brought to safety.

Rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento stabilized the injured person and subsequently transported him to San Rafael Hospital in Santa Tecla with a guarded prognosis, due to the severity of the injuries he sustained.

The vehicle the victim was driving was destroyed, and curious onlookers passing by at that hour said that the man had miraculously survived, given how severe the road collision had been.

Meanwhile, Comandos de Salvamento of Ciudad Arce assisted a young motorcyclist who was involved in an accident on the Pan-American Highway near ENA; he was stabilized and transported to a medical center.
