Authorities from Comandos de Salvamento receive delegates from NNN and APN of Norway.
Representatives of the Norwegian Food Industry and Allied Workers Union (NNN) and representatives of Norwegian People’s Aid (APN) visited several Comandos branches.

Representatives of the Norwegian Food Industry and Allied Workers Union (NNN) and representatives of Norwegian People’s Aid (APN) visited several Comandos de Salvamento authorities and toured several branches of the humanitarian organization in order to observe how the humanitarian organization operates.

APN and NNN are organizations that have provided contributions to several organizations in El Salvador for many years, including Comandos de Salvamento, to which they provide support for ongoing training in Basic First Aid, Pre-Hospital Care, as well as Vertical and Vehicle Rescue courses, which have strengthened Comandos when it comes to freeing people trapped in traffic accidents, which have increased in recent years.

NNN provides its contribution through APN, which has purchased some of the hydraulic equipment that Comandos de Salvamento volunteers use in traffic incidents, in addition to its unconditional assistance in purchasing ambulances, which now provide an important service to the Salvadoran community.

During the tour carried out by the NNN and APN representatives at the Comandos de Salvamento branches, they were able to observe the progress made by the humanitarian organization thanks to the funding they provide so that rescuers can receive training. Today, they have greater knowledge both in pre-hospital care and in vertical and vehicle rescue. Comandos de Salvamento have become known for being the first to arrive at traffic accidents and freeing victims in the shortest possible time so they can be transported to a medical facility, all thanks to the funds allocated for these purposes by these two cooperating organizations.

Those who formed part of this year’s delegation of representatives of the Norwegian Food Industry and Allied Workers Union (NNN) and representatives of Norwegian People’s Aid (APN) included: Anne Bert Hansen, President of NNN; Ann Elise Hildebrandt, NNN Union Secretary; Kenneth Johansen, member of the Central Committee and Industrial leader of the meat sector; and Erik Stangeland, president of the NNN Youth Committee, observer on the Central Committee and union leader in the bread sector.
