Comandos de Salvamento has been raising awareness among the Salvadoran population so that it follows preventive and hygiene measures to avoid contracting the coronavirus.
The Berlín Delegation, in Usulután, began on Tuesday night to mark the distance that had to be maintained between the people who would arrive at the bank branches on Wednesday morning to withdraw the bonus granted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele to thousands of families.
Comandos de Salvamento instructed the population to maintain a distance of one meter to prevent any contagion among the people who arrived at the bank branch; this measure also included covering their mouths with masks or some type of handkerchief.
In Juayúa, Sonsonate, volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento carried out a sanitization campaign on the city’s main thoroughfares, as well as at the municipal market, asking the population to respect the quarantine.
As of Wednesday night, the number of people carrying COVID-19 had reached 41, of whom two had already lost the battle; additionally, there are 4 more patients in critical condition and two in serious condition. There are also 10 more suspected cases.
Therefore, Comandos de Salvamento urgently calls on the Salvadoran population to remain in their homes and follow hygiene measures to prevent any contagion.
In case of suspected COVID-19, call 132 or 911.
