FOOD PROVISION FOR COMANDOS DE SALVAMENTO DELEGATIONS

Ayuda Popular Noruega and ECONORED have been the organizations enabling the Comandos de Salvamento delegations to obtain food for the group of volunteers who remain on duty during the national emergency.

The critical situation facing the country amid the COVID-19 emergency has made it necessary to keep volunteer personnel at the 29 Comandos de Salvamento branches so that they can assist in preventing the deadly virus.

Comandos de Salvamento, together with Municipal Protección Civil Committees, maintains disinfection campaigns at the entrances to some Municipios, as well as on the main streets of the municipality, in addition to assisting at bank branches where people who were beneficiaries of the bonus from the Government of President Nayib Bukele are still arriving.

The provision of basic and essential food items was acquired thanks to financing from Ayuda Popular Noruega, APN, and bottled water provided through ECONORED, which has been present at several activities carried out by Comandos de Salvamento.
