Jorge Aguilar, President of the Environmental Fund of El Salvador, FONAES, delivered a batch of 325 personal protective face shields for Comandos de Salvamento, the organization at the forefront of this pandemic.

Comandos de Salvamento, with its 29 branches, has worked from the very beginning with the Municipal Civil Protection Committees, with whom it has provided assistance during the distribution of the bonus granted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele, as well as at the disinfection points located at the entrances to the municipalities.

“With this important donation, our volunteers who expose themselves daily will be protected,” said Executive Director Roberto Cruz.

Koky Aguilar, as the FONAES President is known, said he was pleased to be able to make the important donation to Comandos de Salvamento. “They are heroes without capes,” the official emphasized during a press conference.
