Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador and the Office of Humanitarian Assistance of the United States Agency for International Development, USAID/BHA, signed an agreement within the framework of the Regional Disaster Assistance Program to train volunteers nationwide.
The training courses include Advanced First Aid Assistant (APAA); Prehospital Care (CB-APH); as well as the Incident Command System at the Basic (CBSCI), Intermediate (CISCI), and Advanced (CASCI) levels.
These trainings will strengthen the knowledge of each of the young volunteers of Comandos de Salvamento so that it can be applied in every emergency they respond to.
Among the commitments undertaken by the authorities of Comandos de Salvamento are safeguarding the quality of the aforementioned courses, as well as protecting the intellectual property of the courses by securing the digital files, which will not be transferable to third parties.
Additionally, these trainings must be provided by instructors certified by USAID/BHA/LAC, and must comply with the standards of the USAID/BHA/LAC Regional Disaster Assistance Program, among others.
This agreement was signed by Sergio David Gutierrez, representing USAID/BAH/LAC; Comandos de Salvamento Trustee David Martínez; as well as Rubi Palacios, President, and Roberto Cruz, Executive Director, of Comandos de Salvamento.
