Comandos de Salvamento donated 4,000 masks as preventive measures amid the increase in Covid cases.

In response to the increase in Covid-19 cases that has alerted the Health system in recent weeks, Comandos de Salvamento therefore distributed masks to the population in the Historic Center.

The young rescuers distributed more than 4,000 masks that they had kept in reserve, with the aim of raising public awareness of the danger posed by the pandemic worldwide and of the fact that our country is vulnerable to the situation.

In addition, people were advised to maintain social distancing to prevent further transmission and to follow biosecurity measures to prevent deaths from Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health states that more than 2,000 people have died from this deadly virus. It adds that more than 4 million people have received the vaccine, and efforts are being made to vaccinate those over 12 years of age.

However, Comandos de Salvamento urges the population to maintain biosecurity measures during these August holidays and not to stop using masks and hand sanitizer, as well as to maintain social distancing.
