MAYOR OF NEJAPA WILL PROVIDE SUPPORT TO COMANDOS

This afternoon, the Mayor of Nejapa, Jorge Alexander Escamilla, signed a cooperation agreement with Comandos de Salvamento, which has operated in that Municipio for many years and has demonstrated that it stands alongside the population, as in the recent landslide that claimed the lives of 9 people and left hundreds of victims.

Comandos de Salvamento is an organization that maintains 30 branches nationwide and operates with part of the subsidy provided by the Government of President Nayib Bukele through the Ministry of Public Health, but these funds are not enough to cover the needs of the institution, which is about to complete 61 years of service.

Thanks to the good work carried out by Comandos de Salvamento, the Municipal Council and Mayor Escamilla agreed to provide a contribution of 300 dollars in fuel so that the population’s emergencies can be addressed.

Comandos de Salvamento of Nejapa have been providing pre-hospital care and minor surgery services at their clinic for 17 years.

They also maintain ties with international doctors who conduct ophthalmology campaigns, as well as general consultations, benefiting many communities in that Municipio.

With this assistance, Comandos de Salvamento is even more committed to the population and stands ready to respond to any emergency.
