“Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven,” were the words of Jesus on this earth. Yesterday, many children came into the arms of Mayra Rivera, President of the “United for a Toy, a Smile NJ” Foundation, of New Jersey, United States, as well as those of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, who supported the activity.

Hundreds of children from the Loma Linda community in Chalchuapa arrived at an Evangelical church to await the arrival of the envoy and share in the joy of the children, who did not offer her a simple smile, but rather a sea of laughter that brought tears to her eyes because of those sincere hearts that appreciated the kind gesture of President Mayra Rivera and the Belén Ministry, which is led by journalist Carlos Lima.

The little ones eagerly opened their gift boxes, with surprises for the mothers who approached Mayra and Comandos de Salvamento themselves to thank them for everything they had received. Later, the mission moved to Colonia El Bambú, former railway line, still in Chalchuapa, where the children awaited the visitors with a prayer.

Mayra Rivera and Roberto Cruz, President of “United for a Toy, a Smile” and Executive Director of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, respectively, thanked those in attendance and initiated the activity, which was filled with joy.

Capernaum Church opened its doors to hold the activity, which was also supported by young people from Castillo del Rey. Hundreds of boys and girls took part in the activities to receive their gift boxes, as well as their refreshments, which were distributed by Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador.

Once again, Mayra Rivera, President of the “United for a Toy, a Smile NJ” Foundation, of New Jersey, United States, was able to say, Mission Accomplished. She also thanked the members of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador and the Belén Ministry for providing the necessary elements to bring joy to the boys and girls who need it so much.

Gifts and food were delivered to more than 200 minors.
