Standing: Yoni Ramos (Instructor), Holmatro Representative; Alex Zepeda (Delegate from El Congo), Roberto Cruz, Executive Director of Comandos and Roberto Miranda, host.

Around 30 young rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador in the western region have enrolled in the vehicle rescue course being taught at the Ciudad Arce Delegation, thanks to support from Norwegian People’s Aid, as well as other companies.

Metzger Supplies, which represents the Holmatro brand (hydraulic extrication machines), is one of the companies providing the use of the machinery so that volunteers can learn to use these tools, which are vital for freeing people trapped in traffic accidents.

In light of the increase in road accidents, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador is seeking to train its personnel in the western region of the country so that they can intervene efficiently for the benefit of those involved in accidents.

In addition, the companies Ptca Ptca Pettenati and Funeraria Nuevo Edén have joined, along with altruistic individuals Óscar Armando Urias Topao, Clau Martín, Edwin Navarro, Esmelin Portillo, Eduardo Contreras, David Reyes, and members of the Ayala family, who have provided their support so that the new rescuers can obtain the materials necessary for their work during the training.

Norwegian People’s Aid and the Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador are contributing so that this course can be carried out and, in this way, more personnel specialized in vehicle rescue can be available.
