Young rescuers participate in the training.

A group of Canadian paramedics recently arrived in El Salvador at the headquarters of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, with whom they have maintained bonds of friendship for several years and today see the fruits of that connection.

Angus Marshall, Daniel Dabiri, and Marco Mangu, Canadian nationals, are guided by Salvadoran paramedic Christopher Ramírez Orellana, who during his youth was part of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador at the Apopa branch.

Now, he accompanies the group of professionals who are also part of the firefighting service in Canada and have decided to conduct training for 100 rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, including personnel from the various branches.

The training is based on “Trauma Care Emergency,” which includes theory and practice, with techniques taught by the firefighters and paramedics from Canada.

This activity was sponsored by Norwegian People’s Aid to provide the educational and logistical materials needed to effectively conduct the training, which will strengthen the knowledge of all the young rescuers of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

The practical exercises were highly useful.
