Approximately two months ago, nearly 30 young people eagerly awaited the opportunity to enroll in the Pre-Hospital Care course, APH, offered at the “Yolanda Elizabeth Ramírez” Comando de Salvamento School.

During the weekends, the young people underwent theoretical and practical classes, as well as physical training provided by their Executive Director, Roberto Cruz, to assess the volunteers’ abilities and help them achieve their aspirations of advancing another step in their training as good rescuers with Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador.

When five o’clock sounded on Saturday and Sunday mornings, the aspiring volunteers got up to begin their day with physical training, covering many kilometers to demonstrate that they truly wanted to be part of the new generation of volunteers.

Their theoretical classes were taught by a select group of instructors, physicians, and emergency medical technicians to provide greater knowledge of Pre-Hospital Care.

Now, the new Pre-Hospital Care technicians can feel satisfied that all their effort has been rewarded. Some of them proudly displayed their diplomas and badges, which identify them as new rescue personnel with this training. They will be able to wear their insignia and demonstrate their knowledge during the upcoming August festivities.

Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador provides ongoing training in different areas, thanks to funding from Norwegian Popular Aid, APN, which allocates the necessary funds so that participants can have everything they need to achieve a successful objective.
