New rescuers overcame the difficult tests.

Authorities from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador held the graduation ceremony for 35 young volunteers from the country’s various sections, who underwent rigorous training to become part of the Vehicle Rescue Unit.

The event coincides with the “World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims,” proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly to be observed every third Sunday of November.

In response, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador has trained rescuers to respond to emergencies involving traffic accidents, which exceed 15,000 road incidents and have caused the deaths of one thousand Salvadorans.

It is worth mentioning that among the new rescuers are 12 young women who, despite the course’s difficulty, managed to rise to the challenge of a motto they adopted: “The pain is temporary, but Glory is eternal.”

Now, the new members of the Vehicle Rescue Unit of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will put their knowledge at the service of the Salvadoran people from their sections throughout the country.

Training made possible thanks to funding from Norwegian People’s Aid, APN, which provides sufficient funds for each young person who attends the Vehicle Rescue course.

Rocio, a young mother, stated that the pain was temporary but Glory eternal.
Their knowledge will be put into practice in their sections.
Facilitators received their diplomas for their contribution and collaboration in the course.
