In recent days, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador has provided assistance to hundreds of motorcyclists who have suffered road incidents at different locations throughout the country.
According to the National Road Safety Observatory, during the period from January through April 18 of this year, more than one thousand motorcycle accidents have been recorded, leaving 996 people injured and 147 dead.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assists nearly 10 motorcyclists who suffer road incidents, especially along Alameda Juan Pablo II, where drivers invade the central lane of the roadway. On some occasions, two motorcycles have collided while traveling in opposite directions, causing serious injuries.
It should be noted that another cause is the high speed at which they travel on the capital’s roads and the country’s highways.
One of the unfortunate cases is the death of Mr. José Ulises Maradiaga Carranza, 31, who lost his life when his motorcycle collided with a trailer on Calle Agua Caliente; one other person was injured.
In the city of Santa Ana, volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted Kevin Antonio Castillo Centeno, 30, who suffered a road incident on his motorcycle and was taken to the Social Security hospital.
Meanwhile, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assisted the driver of a motorcycle who suffered a traffic accident on the old highway to Zacatecoluca, near San Marcos.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, in response to the increase in motorcycle accidents, asks that traffic signals be respected, as well as urging caution to prevent invasion of the central lane of the roadways.
