Yhony Ramos teaches part of the course to the volunteers.

Thirty young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador are undergoing training in Pre-Hospital Care to gain greater knowledge in caring for patients in emergency situations.

Rescuers from several branches began the course on Friday night. They will have approximately six weeks of study and practical training provided by the highly qualified staff of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador.

With this, the rescuers will be able to climb another rung in their knowledge so they can serve the population effectively and promptly when responding to emergencies, especially traffic and motorcycle accidents, which are frequent.

The trainees will learn about infectious diseases, oxygen therapy, the proper handling of the oropharyngeal airway, among other topics that are part of this training.

This course has been made possible thanks to financing from Norwegian People’s Aid, which has provided the necessary printed materials and food for the rescuers.

Rescuers from several branches have registered to attend the classes.
30 volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador listen to the training.
