Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador conducted a drill this morning involving people affected by pyrotechnic products at Centenario Park in San Salvador.
The drill, in which four people suffered serious fireworks burns, was intended to call on people who use pyrotechnic products on Christmas Eve and to ring out the old year.
However, Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador seeks to raise awareness among parents so that they do not leave their children alone when carrying out this activity; this will prevent any tragedy.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador will have approximately 1,500 personnel at its 32 sections during the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and on Christmas Eve they will maintain advanced units at strategic points.
The Vehicle Rescue Unit will also be deployed on the country’s main highways to respond to any traffic accident or fire.
In case of any emergency, you can call 2133-0000.
