The aid, coordinated with the support of CENTA, was distributed as follows:
235 Family Hygiene Kits: They include essential items such as shampoo, conditioner, laundry soap, toothbrushes (for adults and children), toothpaste, combs, toilet paper, sanitary pads, deodorant, repellent and hypochlorite for disinfecting food.
150 Super Selectos Gift Cards: Cards worth $100.00 each, intended exclusively for purchasing food, allowing families to ease their immediate financial burden.
Commitment to Vulnerability
This strategic alliance between both institutions seeks to ensure that the populations working with CENTA in Texistepeque have the resources necessary in the event of possible contingencies.
“Comandos de Salvamento remains firmly committed to its mission of safeguarding the lives of people in danger, whether due to natural or man-made disasters. On this occasion, we focused on prevention and direct support for the country’s most vulnerable communities,” institution spokespersons stated.
The Emergency Pre-Positioning 2025 project reaffirms the commitment of humanitarian organizations to reach the territories where aid is most urgently needed, guaranteeing health, hygiene and food security for Salvadorans.
