Members of the Board of Directors, the executive leadership, and members of the Academia Mundial de Bomberos Internacional led the parade.

Hundreds of young volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador celebrated in grand style alongside the Board of Directors, executive leadership, and special guests who took part in a parade that traveled from the facilities of Parque Cuscatlán to the Ministry of Governance.

Ambulances, floats, and marching bands accompanied by their beautiful baton twirlers brought joy to the grand event, which once again featured representatives of the Academia Mundial de Bomberos Internacional, based in New York, United States of America.

There was also a demonstration by the various operational units of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador, including the vehicle rescue unit, whose members demonstrated the use of modern equipment to free people trapped in traffic accidents.

As well as vertical rescue operations to extract victims who fall into ravines and in other circumstances.

The Aquatic Unit, with divers who have already participated in various searches for people drowned in lakes and the sea, demonstrated its experience. The team continues to grow, along with its ongoing training to obtain licenses through personnel authorized in this field.

The presence of clown Roberto Alfaro, “Cocolito,” a volunteer member of Comandos de Salvamento, Nonualcos branch, was also featured. Other clowns likewise brought joy to the parade route.

The Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador recognized the great support of the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele, the private sector, foundations, and organizations that contribute to its proper operation, including Fundación ATRADE, Ayuda Popular Noruega, APN, among others.

There was also special recognition for members of the Academia Mundial de Bomberos Internacional, who have provided a series of training sessions for volunteers.

Medals were also presented to friends in the press—radio, television, and print—who day after day disseminate the work carried out by Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador in response to traffic accidents and other emergencies.
