More than one hundred people gathered at the private cemetery in Cuscatancingo to bid a final farewell to a great human being, Mario Ulises García Mulato.
From his youth, he dedicated his time to saving lives as a member of the Salvadoran Red Cross, where he held important positions. His career as a paramedic led him to hold important leadership positions within the relief organization because of his training and ability in prehospital care.
Mario Ulises was part of the select team of Municipal Protección Civil of central San Salvador. He also served as delegate of the Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador branch in Municipio of San Martín during the last few years.
Mulato, as he was known, lost his battle in a bed at the General Social Security hospital last Sunday, after suffering a tragic traffic accident.
Despite the doctors’ efforts, the heart of Mario Ulises García Mulato stopped beating in the early hours of last Sunday.
The remains of this great hero were mourned at a funeral home in Mejicanos, and today his remains traveled through part of the streets of that Municipio to rest in a cemetery, where hundreds of members of Municipal Protección Civil, the Salvadoran Red Cross, the Salvadoran Green Cross, Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, and friends bid farewell and offered their condolences to his family.
Mario Ulises García Mulato leaves a great legacy among the young paramedics who are part of the Comandos de Salvamento branch in San Martín, who, with white flowers, bid farewell to a great leader who leaves many lessons behind.
Until we meet again, friend and colleague Mario Ulises García Mulato. Rest in peace.
