Doctors of the Americas arrive with a contingent of 34 people who are coming to the country this Thursday to provide medical consultations to several communities across the country.
Dr. Andrew Badulak and his wife Stephanie Badulak have been traveling to El Salvador for nearly two decades. Together with doctors and Comandos de Salvamento, they have brought healthcare and medicine to thousands of people with limited financial resources.
During this visit, the Doctors of the Americas will visit Comunidad Guajoyo, in Tecoluca, in the Departamento of San Vicente, where nearly 300 people will be treated, according to the census submitted.
In addition, for Saturday, the doctors have scheduled free consultations at the Public Plaza in front of the Catholic temple, where women, elderly people, and children will be seen so they can receive medical examinations and free medicine.
On Monday, the healthcare professionals will travel to the eastern region, specifically to the Municipio of Alegría, in the Departamento of Usulután, where rescuers from the Comandos de Salvamento branch have already begun registering the population so they can go to the Community Center, where the activity will take place.
It should be noted that Comandos de Salvamento also assigns its medical and nursing personnel to provide logistical support to the U.S. doctors, who dedicate their knowledge to the Salvadoran population.
Sonsonate will also be one of the places to benefit from the medical campaigns, which will conclude on Wednesday at the Catholic Church in Comunidad Río Las Cañas, where hundreds of low-income families reside and where the Doctors of the Americas will provide consultations and distribute free medicine.
Comandos de Salvamento accompanies the Doctors of the Americas during all the medical campaigns and makes its units and personnel available to the population in case transportation to a healthcare center is necessary.
