Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador reports the deaths of two motorcyclists yesterday in traffic accidents at different locations across the country, while others suffered injuries and were admitted to various medical centers.
One of the fatal crashes occurred at Redondel Integración, where the motorcyclist lost control of his vehicle and was run over by a tractor-trailer, causing his instantaneous death.
Meanwhile, on the road from Apopa to Mariona, the motorcyclist crashed into the rear of a tanker truck due to the speed at which the motorcycle was being driven. Responders from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador arrived at the scene and determined that the person no longer had vital signs.
Another traffic crash was reported on Calle Agua Caliente in Zapotitán, where a motorcyclist was involved in an accident and transported by Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador volunteers to Hospital San Rafael in Santa Tecla.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador of Sensuntepeque assisted a young motorcyclist who lost control and fell onto glass from soft-drink containers that was lying on the Longitudinal del Norte highway. The victim was admitted to Hospital de Sensuntepeque for lacerations and wounds.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador assists nearly 10 motorcyclists who are involved in traffic accidents due to recklessness, speeding, and failure to respect traffic laws. With the new fine reform, it is expected that this situation can be reduced, since on several occasions motorcyclists have collided head-on on Alameda Juan Pablo II after crossing the center line during hours of heavy traffic.
