Nearly 150 rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador participated in the commemoration of the two hundred and first anniversary of national independence.
The volunteers from Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador were distributed at the two points from which the parades—the military and student parades—set out, where the Salvadoran population turned out in large numbers to see army and police members firsthand, and they were warmly applauded.
After two years without this type of event, the Salvadoran population took to the streets where the parades would pass from the early hours of September 15, wearing blue-and-white shirts. People thanked the army members and the PNC for the work carried out in recent months.
Comandos de Salvamento de El Salvador also assisted people who suffered from sunstroke and some falls from their own height. Likewise, members of the peace bands and the army were assisted.
In the interior of the country, the delegations also provided assistance to students who paraded along the municipality’s main streets.
