Latex gloves, safety goggles, biosecurity suits, hand sanitizer, quaternary ammonium, and other supplies were delivered.

Recently, the Board of Directors and Executive Directorate of Comandos de Salvamento delivered biosecurity equipment to the Delegates of the country’s three zones, to ensure the safety of the young volunteers who continue providing assistance during medical emergencies and are exposed day after day to becoming contaminated with COVID-19.

Biosecurity materials were made possible thanks to a donation from the Government of Canada, through Her Excellency Ambassador Karolina Guay, with whom an agreement was signed in the fight against coronavirus.

Among the supplies delivered to the delegations in the country’s Eastern, Western, Central, and Paracentral zones are latex gloves, safety goggles, biosecurity suits, face masks, and cleaning supplies such as soap, hand sanitizer, among others.

Cleaning supplies were also provided for the bases in Quezaltepeque, Apopa, Nejapa, Popotlán, San Martín, Ilopango, Antiguo Cuscatlán, and Ayutuxtepeque, in the Departamento of San Salvador.

A supply of provisions was also delivered to each delegation to help support the young rescuers.

However, the biosecurity suits are disposable due to the contamination they represent, making it necessary to maintain an adequate supply of them in order to respond to emergencies.

Thanks to the Government of Canada, it was possible to provide supplies to the delegations.
Cleaning supplies are also among the items delivered.
