SOLIDARITY DURING THE EMERGENCY

This post is also available in: Spanish Norwegian Bokmål French Chinese (Simplified) Japanese

Members of the Patronato del Cuerpo de Bomberos Nacionales de El Salvador donate lunches to the volunteers.

In light of the national emergency being experienced around the world, many organizations and altruistic individuals are showing solidarity with those working in the hardest-hit areas of the pandemic: doctors, nurses, specialists, police officers, the army, cleaning staff, and emergency-response organizations who are exposed to COVID-19 day after day.

The Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento expresses its special appreciation to the Patronato del Cuerpo de Bomberos Nacionales, who have provided food during the current week for the young volunteers who dedicate their time to serving the Salvadoran people.

This action has also been taken by representatives of evangelical churches, such as the Tabernáculo Bíblico Bautista “Amigos de Israel,” and altruistic individuals who have delivered prepared food to emergency responders during both daytime and nighttime hours. This is appreciated because it provides an incentive to give their best effort in every emergency.

Comandos de Salvamento has kept its 29 branch offices on alert; they coordinate their work with the Municipal Protección Civil Committees to disinfect communities and the entrances to municipalities using motor vehicles.

They also collaborate at the various bank branches that distribute the 300-dollar bonus granted by the Government of President Nayib Bukele, helping maintain physical distancing and take temperatures, as well as requesting that users wear masks.

Solidarity in times of emergency.

Comandos volunteers expressed their appreciation for the noble gesture.
