Comandos de Salvamento continues with sanitization campaigns in several municipalities in coordination with City Halls and Protección Civil.
Sanitization is carried out on the main streets and on vehicles entering the community.

On Saturday night, Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele reported an increase in COVID-19 cases affecting the country, which had reached 62, two of whom had already recovered.

However, there are 57 active COVID-19 patients; of these, there are 6 local infections, as well as 17 suspected cases awaiting the results of the tests performed.

In response to the latent increase in cases, Comandos de Salvamento is carrying out sanitization campaigns in several municipalities of El Salvador, in addition to collaborating with the various bank agencies authorized to distribute the 300-dollar subsidy funds granted by the Government to thousands of families.

Every day, thousands of people approach the bank agencies, and Comandos de Salvamento helps ensure that beneficiaries maintain the distance required by health authorities to prevent further infections, as well as taking their temperature and blood pressure, in order to guarantee the health of Salvadorans.

Aware that the number of COVID-19 patients is increasing, Comandos de Salvamento is conducting awareness campaigns so that people can stay home and not become another victim of the coronavirus.

The Board of Directors of Comandos de Salvamento has issued orders to its 29 delegates to maintain emergency services for traffic, workplace, and household accidents, as well as for pregnant women.

However, they have stated that cases involving suspected flu, high fevers, and other symptoms characteristic of COVID-19 will not be attended to, since the only service currently authorized to care for these patients is the Medical Emergency System, SEM, which has the protective equipment to transport and assess possible victims.

The sanitization campaign is carried out with several pumps.
