Two people were traveling and escaped unharmed.

Two people escaped death when a large tree fell onto the taxi in which they were traveling on the Antigua Agua Caliente highway, in the lane leading from San Salvador to Soyapango.
A woman who was traveling as a passenger sustained minor injuries, while the driver was unharmed.
The lanes from San Salvador to Soyapango will be closed while authorities from Protección Civil, the San Salvador Municipal Mayor’s Office, and Comandos de Salvamento take time to remove the tree.
Meanwhile, in Residencial Santa Lucía, in Ilopango, the situation has become complicated due to the constant rains that have fallen over the national territory, as two homes have begun to give way because of the earth slide in the ravine. Female neighbors have heard rumbling sounds, and this has kept them in distress.
It is expected that in the coming hours, authorities from both Protección Civil and Comandos de Salvamento will arrive in the area to verify whether there will be more evacuations amid the imminent danger posed by the area.
The rains falling at this time have forced the Ministry of Education to suspend classes nationwide in the public sector, while private school and university directors have been left to decide.

Comandos de Salvamento has assisted in evacuating families in Residencial Santa Lucía.

Motorists are asked to drive with great caution because there are several landslides on the Pan-American Highway near Los Chorros, on the Golden Highway, near the bridge of Colonia San José. FOVIAL is already working at these locations to remove the earth slide.
Likewise, the highway to Santiago Texacuangos is blocked, where a tree has fallen and obstructs two lanes of the road.
