Comandos de Salvamento presents the new design of its website: a space to learn about our history, our services, our volunteers and the news of our work serving the population.

The new presentation makes reading easier on phones, tablets and computers and includes light and dark mode options. We have preserved our news and photo archive to keep the memory of our institution alive.

Cipi: translation created for our site

Cipi is a WordPress plugin designed by Marco to facilitate publishing our news in several languages. It connects our site to OpenAI’s artificial intelligence through API calls: requests that send the article text to the translation service and receive the translated versions.

Approximately one hour after publishing a news article in Spanish, Cipi begins the process in the background. It receives translations into English, Norwegian, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese, preserves the images and article structure, and uses WPML to link each version to its original. Before publishing them, it performs technical checks of the structure and links; it also records API usage to help control costs.

News in six languages

Spanish will remain the original language of our news. With Cipi, our automatic translation system, new posts and news published in Spanish will be translated into English, Norwegian, French, Simplified Chinese and Japanese. The process will begin approximately one hour after publishing the original; the versions will become available as the translation is completed.

The translations are generated with artificial intelligence and may contain errors. If you find an unclear expression or information that needs correction, you can let us know through our contact page. In case of any discrepancy, consult the original Spanish version.

Thanks to our volunteers, collaborators and all the people who follow and support our work. We invite you to explore the site, learn about our delegations and share the stories of those who work every day to help others.
