The Board of Directors and executive leadership of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador expressed their special gratitude to the members of the Academia Mundial de Bomberos INC, based in New York, Ayuda Popular Noruega, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church for making it possible to successfully conclude the First National Camp.
During the event, the more than two hundred young rescuers from Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador and Protección Civil Municipal of San Salvador Centro stood before the authorities at the head table, where members of the Board of Directors, the executive leadership of Comandos de Salvamento of El Salvador, and instructors from the Academia Mundial de Bomberos INC and APN were seated.
With great enthusiasm, the volunteers received their certificates of recognition for participating in the First National Camp, where the select group of instructors from the Academia provided new knowledge in the fields of vertical and vehicle rescue.
They also received training in pre-hospital care, which the young people use daily during the various emergency responses at their headquarters or delegations, from which they came to take part in this extensive training program.
One of the young rescuers said that during the first hours of the Camp, her body felt it might give out because of the demanding training, but she knew that her effort was important in order to overcome the difficult test… “I feel satisfied to have completed this training, which I will now put into practice,” said the brigade member.
Lieutenant General Juan Gutiérrez, who commanded the team of instructors, thanked each of the young people for all their sacrifice and dedication in overcoming the difficult tests of this course. “Young people, you have my admiration and respect. Keep moving forward because you have a great spirit of service to humanity.”
