MASSACRE AT LA TIENDONA

Six males that were leaving a bar were machine gunned down this afternoon.  Comandos de Salvamento arrived on scene and attended to the victims barely presenting vitals until declared deceased by the forensic team out of Medicina Legal.

Another victim was outside the establishment expired due to multiple gunshots.

The event took place along 24ª. Avenida Norte y Calle El Tamarindo near to the Tiendona Market. CDS stayed for crowd control and to assist forensic detectives.

Comandos Attend to Injured Police Officers

Socorristas de Comandos de Salvamento auxilian a una agente de la PNC quien resulto lesionada.

About 7 members of the National Civilian Police have resulted injured due to an gunfight altercation in the Colonia San Patricio in Southern San Salvador. For now all we know is that a male officer has lost his life and a female officer has been transported to the ED at Seguro Social Hospital.

CDS dispatched more than 5 ambulances and more than 20 first responders to the scene to evacuate the injured officials.

2 Youth Recovered

SAR members recover one of the youth.

Search and Recovery element team members of Comandos de Salvamento were present to recover two youths where they were sighted after having been disappeared and murdered by an ex military veteran. They were recovered near La Lima, El Faro village in the Department of La Libertad.

The recovered youth will be transported to medicinal legal, forensics in San Salvador.

 

Shot 11 Times and Survives

Comandos de Salvamento first responders attended to 58yo Rolando Pereira who is a strong advocate for those that sell commercial items on the streets, after he had been shot 11 times on Castillo street between 18th and 20th ave North.

Pereira was secured and immediately transported by Comandos to Rosales Hospital.

Line of Duty Death: Erick Beltrán

This last Sunday April 10th, 14 year old volunteer Erick Beltrán was murdered while on shift at the Quetzaltepeque base of Comandos de Salvamento. Below is a formal response from the CDS Board of Directors.

The Board of Directors and Executive Management of Comandos de Salvamento significantly mourns death of young 14yo volunteer  Erick Beltran due to an incident that occurred on Sunday April 10, within the premises of the CDS Quezaltepeque Delegation.

The murder is an attack on the neutral voluntary work of the Comandos de Salvamento whose mission is “to rescue the lives of people, when in danger from causes of nature or of man

CDS leadership calls for groups involved with violent activities to respect the humanitarian work of Comandos de Salvamento and other EMS agencies.

CDS work under the principle of being a neutral impartial and independent institution. We have a great commitment to the Salvadoran people suffering from the effects of violence, and we continue working to bring relief to those in need.

We offer our sincere condolences to the family of first responder Erick Beltrán and we join in solidarity with the local branch of Quezaltepeque which has more than 20 years serving the community of northern San Salvador.
