CDS assisted victims of a fire in the colonia Lomas del Río, main street No. 18 and 20 in Soyapango this Sunday afternoon. Two home residences were consumed with flames and smoke when a small propane tank exploded. Patients attended to were 29 yo Blanca Gómez, 50 yo Mario Zamora and 17 yo Alexander Vásquez. They were transported to local Emergency Rooms while the National Fire Dept put out the remaining flames and assured safety of the scene. A young child was transported to Childrens Bloom Hospital, with name undetermined. Common friends, family, and neighbors helped put out the fire with local resources.

Comando EMS Volunteer Murdered
Family members and CDS bury the remains of 17 yo Volunteer Comando Christian Neftali Escalón at the municipal cemetary of Apopa. Christian was shot by unknown assailants this last Wednesday night while driving a Microbus with his dad around the Colonia Tikal neighborhood. He was transported to Hospital Rosales, yet died during surgery in intensive care. His father is the head delegate leader of our Apopa base.

Grenade Thrown in the Ex-Cuartel Market
CDS attended to patients that were affected by gas caused by a grenade that exploded inside the infamous Ex-Cuartel Market in downtown San Salvador on October 18th, 2010. One Survives, Another Dies
A man died and another was gravely injured when a dirt wall collapsed while they were working on a plumbing system at the Don Bosco Industrial Center in the Community Iberia of San Salvador. The survivor was stabilized at the Emergency Walkin Clinic of Base Central. He was identified as 52 yo Miguel Ángel Ramirez. Deceased at the scene was 54 yo Cristóbal Perez Miranda. CDS members on scene were Rafael Cruz and Elder Andrade. CDS support staff in the clinic was Manuel Marquina. Fotos: Francisco Campos
