COMANDOS SUPPORT PUBLIC PARADE MARCH.
Some one hundred and fifty Comandos accompanied Salvadorans on the great yearly march of International Work day. Comandos are present at these events in case there are emergencies like heat exhaustion, dehydration or other common injuries. CDS members that took part included delegations from Zacatecoluca, San Martín, Popotlán, Quezaltepeque, Zapotitán, Suchitoto, Nejapa, Tepecoyo, Ayutuxtepeque, Ilopango, and the main base. 10 ambulances were present but were not utilized since the march was peaceful and without any disturbances.
Recovery in Neighborhood La Vega
Members of our High Angle Rescue team rescue 49 yo Ernesto Carranza who fell near the Acelhuate river in the Barrio La Vega, south of San Salvador. He slid from a bank when trying to recover a soccer ball. Rescuers used a SKED to immobilize the patient since he presented with various fractures. The patient was transported to Hospital Rosales. This week CDS is working throughout the country in support of Holy Week Vacations under Operation We Are Comandos de Salvamento 2011.
