Rescue of MVA Victims

EMS crews from Comandos de Salvamento transported five injured patients, of a total of 18 that were involved in an MVA that occured today April 4th on the highway from San Salvador to Santa Ana at  Km 18, area known localy as la báscula. Three patients were acute and passed away. Two of them were identified as Marvin Odir Rosales and Son Sue Kin, or Korean origin. Other three injured patients were attended to and given first aid at the scene. Rest of the victims were transported by other EMS groups.  In order to remove some of the victims, use of extrication equipment such as the jaws of life was implemented by the Comandos Vehicle extrication unit at the scene.

Injured in MVA

Comandos observe a car with license plate P-613-242 that crashed into the reondel Orden de Malta in the neighborhood of Santa Elena Friday evening. Injured in the accident was 10 yo Rubí Armando Martínez, 30 yo Marlene Meléndez and  26 yo Emerson Villanueva. All patients were transported to San Rafael hospital. Up until Saturday the 3rd of April, CDS reports having attended to 24 Motor Vehicle Accidents.
