Comandos de Salvamento has built a collaborative relationship with the Salvadoran Air force and now offers Community Helivac services for those caught up in acute emergencies.
CDS First Responders collaborate with the FAS to remain skilled when responding to episodes of mass and natural disasters.
We remember that 6 years ago CDS Doctor Carlos Hernández Reyes, passed away after doing a night shift at the CDS walk in clinic. He was struck on his motorcycle on his way back home. Carlos trained many comandos in basic suturing techniques including me between 1999 and 2002 while living at the Central Base. May his memory remain. Guardian Angel Dr. Carlos

CDS attended to patients involved in two separate MVAs in San Salvador. One of the scenes included three vehicles and patients were treated on scene with some physical ailments and critical incident stress. The MVA took place at the end of constitution Blvd near reondel integración.
The other MVA was along Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero road 21 yo José Santiago Díaz was offered first aid on scene.
