We remember that 6 years ago CDS Doctor Carlos Hernández Reyes, passed away after doing a night shift at the CDS walk in clinic. He was struck on his motorcycle on his way back home. Carlos trained many comandos in basic suturing techniques including me between 1999 and 2002 while living at the Central Base. May his memory remain. Guardian Angel Dr. Carlos

The CDS gender diversity brigade participated this day in increasing sensitivity about forms of harassment, violence and discrimination.
Specialist on social media gender issues Claudia Hernández Focused on social transformation through understanding inherent rights and empowerment of every individual. Also present was Masters level in Sexual reproductive health, Carolina Morán who talked about gender violence and the rights of youth.
The purpose at said workgroups is to increase sensitivities in all CDS first responders and to increase knowledge within the institution as a whole.

Comando Volunteers were able to view a documentary about their work at Galerias cinemas. It is hoped that in the future a more thorough documentary will be done that spans a history of over 5 decades of service to the Salvadoran public and sacrifices made to uphold our mission.
