Less Emergencies this Year for Holy Week
There has been a significantly less emergencies this year during holy week vacation as witnessed during our -Somos Comandos de Salvamento 2011-nationwide support operation. Since the vacation started, to this afternoon, easter Sunday, there have been 32 patients with common injuries, 4 MVAs, 124 water rescues, and of those, 84 were shallow water while the rest were deep water. There have been 4 deaths reported. CDS believes that the reduction in emergencies is a result of strong preventive educational campaigns that have been developed and deployed by all EMS institutions hand in hand with National Civil Protection.
