Children in Ilopango Shelters

Niños en Ilopango reciben Pan donado.

In the neighborhood of Ilopango, in the eastern part of San Salvador, refugee children in shelters smile after receiving bread from Comandos de Salvamento that was donated by Molinos of El Salvador MOLSA. Some 300 refugee families received “french bread” to compliment their daily meals.

Due to the heavy rains this last weekend from Hurricane Ida, the death toll has been raised to 189, with another 80 disappeared. 14,000 are without shelter according to the director of El Salvador’s “Civil Protection Group” Jorge Meléndez.
