The Salvadoran Airforce (FAES) offered a tribute of recognition to Comandos de Salvamento for their work together during the Tropical Storm Ida. Air Force Major Colonel P:A: DEM. gave Comandos a diploma and plaque with the FAES emblem. Comandos also gave FAES a plaque. The management leaders of CDS promised to have successful future and wider collaborations with FAES.
CDS EMTs from the Antiguo Cuscatlán base rescue patient Ángela Maldonado who was victim of a traffic accident on the Central American Highway. National firefighters and CDS worked together in the extrication. The patients car was hit by another car causing a second impact against a tree.

Andrés Marín is a doctor that spends his yearly vacations as a volunteer for CDS. This year his stay lasted from the 11th to the 24th of January. He brought CDS donations to help with Emergency runs and educational classes. His role included acting as educational EMS and First Aid instructor to staff and participating in various ambulance runs. CDS would like to thank Andres for his collaborative efforts to help the Salvadoran people and are hoping for his prompt return.
